Managing quality assurance whilst increasing capacity The nursing workforce is expected to see the greatest planned growth in student enrolments, as much as 27% on 2009 student figures. In order to meet these demands, both healthcare providers and educational institutions are working collaboratively and innovatively to address the timely placement of graduating nurses. However, with increased demand, there runs a risk of quality compromise. There is a real need for stakeholders in the sector to work together to implement and evaluate models of placement which enable growth and quality.
